The varnish on top is left light to allow for the wood grain and details to show through. Attached to the top of the frame there is a brown leather strap which holds the hanging clock up. The clock has a circular shape with a white watch face and black indexes and numbers. The top has an ornament shape to which there is a hook attached. This hook is then attached to the leather strap.
